Lifestyle & Wellbeing Carer Role Overview

Bupa Templestowe is seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Wellbeing Facilitator to join our vibrant team.

Role Summary

This role is responsible for creating an environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents. You will be part of a close-knit team that provides care and support to residents in a person-centered approach.

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for enriching lives and making a positive impact on those we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Catering Support: Assist with meal preparation and serving, adhering to food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols.
  • Fun and Engagement: Plan and deliver activities that cater to diverse interests, ensuring every day is an adventure for our residents.
  • Social Connections: Foster a sense of belonging among residents through friendly interactions, games, and events.
  • Daily Living Support: Assist with daily tasks such as mealtimes, outings, and provide emotional support to residents with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
  • Resident Feedback: Gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities meet resident needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalate concerns.
Requirements

  • Creative Spark: Bring new ideas to the table to make every day an adventure.
  • Excellent Communication: Connect easily with residents and colleagues, building trust and rapport.
  • Previous Experience: Aged Care or community experience, essential.
  • First Aid Certificate: Or willing to obtain one.
  • Australian Driver's Licence: Required for occasional transport of residents.

We offer a competitive salary, estimated around $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for career growth and professional development within Bupa.
