Job Description">

The University of Tasmania seeks a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Technician to contribute to the success of various projects supporting marine science research with high-quality data services.

As a Software Quality Assurance Technician, you will be working closely with the AODN team to identify defects, develop test frameworks and test cases, conduct regular system availability monitoring and reporting using online dashboards and reporting tools, assist in scoping, planning, and scheduling QA activities for various projects, and develop documentation for software and data products.

This role is crucial for delivering high-quality software and data management services, supporting national environmental data collection programs, and providing valuable data to stakeholders.

  • Demonstrable experience working with data management tools and/or Helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • A strong understanding of modern system functionality testing methodologies and principles.
  • Experience working in a team-focused, highly collaborative context in software support, software troubleshooting, or similar technical projects.
  • Degree qualification in Marine Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems, with significant subsequent relevant experience.
