Key role: Mechanical Fitter

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop-based team at a respected contractor.

About the Role

This permanent, full-time position involves performing maintenance, diagnostics, and overhaul tasks on industry-leading piling and construction plant.

  • Carry out mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on plant and equipment.
  • Identify and rectify hydraulic and electrical faults.
  • Overhaul and modify plant and equipment as required.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operations of specialised gear.
  • Collaborate with a skilled workshop team to achieve quality results.
Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience post-apprenticeship is preferred.
  • A strong background in hydraulic systems would be highly regarded.
  • A safety-first mindset and pride in quality workmanship are essential.
  • Addition tickets such as Forklift, EWP, Rigging, Confined Space are viewed favourably.
