Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.

About the Role

  • Support NDIS Participants: You will work closely with participants and their families to understand their needs and develop personalized behaviour support plans.
  • Conduct Functional Assessments: You will conduct thorough assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviours and develop effective strategies to address them.
  • Create and Implement Plans: You will work with participants and their families to develop and implement individualized behaviour support plans that promote positive outcomes.
  • Educate and Train Teams: You will educate and train carers and support teams on the principles of Positive Behaviour Support and how to effectively implement behaviour support plans.
  • Review Restrictive Practices: You will work with participants and their families to review and reduce restrictive practices, ensuring that they are safe and respectful.
  • Monitor Outcomes: You will regularly collect and analyze data to monitor participant outcomes and make adjustments to behaviour support plans as needed.

Requirements

  • PBS Endorsement
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Experience in Community Settings
  • Access to Own Vehicle and Driver's Licence
  • NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check
