Job Title: Compliance Enforcement Specialist

Division: Planning and Environment

Team: Environment, Sustainability & Compliance

Job Summary:

The Compliance Enforcement Specialist is a temporary, full-time position responsible for enforcing various requirements under the Local Government, EPA, Roads and Public Spaces (Unattended Property) Acts. The role involves patrolling, monitoring, and enforcing areas for illegal parking, trading, and other breaches of legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol and monitor Strathfield Municipality LGA for illegal activities, including parking, trading, and vandalism.
  • Monitor and enforce legislative requirements in council parks and reserves.
  • Issue on-the-spot infringement notices for parking and other breaches.
  • Answer inquiries regarding parking and infringement notices.
  • Keep records to the appropriate standard.
  • Undertake outdoor duties during inclement weather.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare statements when necessary.
  • Ensure equipment and personal protective equipment are properly maintained.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in local government or regulatory services.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shift roster, including weekends and public holidays.
