In this community-based role, you'll spend most of your time visiting customers in their own homes across the ACT, applying your expertise to make a real difference in their day-to-day lives. When not conducting home visits, you'll have the flexibility to work from home or visit our Canberra office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescribe equipment to support customers' daily living needs
  • Assess and modify homes to ensure safe and accessible environments
  • Provide education and training on falls prevention and manual handling techniques
  • Conduct assessments and retraining on activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Offer energy conservation and cognitive assessment services
About You

We are looking for a qualified and passionate Occupational Therapist with a genuine interest in working with the elderly. You excel in a community care environment, using your skills to promote well-being, independence, and comfort in the homes of our customers. You're highly organised, able to manage your time across various tasks and locations, and work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • A Driver's Licence and registered vehicle
  • Car insurance (minimum Third Party Property; Comprehensive preferred)
  • First Aid and CPR certificate (or be willing to obtain)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships, including working within a multidisciplinary team
