Logistics Management Specialist

The Logistics Management Specialist role involves providing management and logistics support on a project. This position requires a suitably qualified professional with a minimum of 7+ years experience within Defence or a related industry, particularly on Land projects.
Key Responsibilities- Apply Through Life Support and Sustainment Management knowledge to acquire Defence capabilities.
- Oversee, manage, and deliver Integrated Logistics Support documentation, including ILSC, ILSP, ILSI, ILS, support contract Statements of Work (SOW), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), Data Summary Documents (DSDs), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) documentation.
- Offer Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice for the review and input of critical contract deliverables such as TETP, RPIL, RPL, MRSL, CESL, UHB, and EMEI.
- Assist in planning and developing ILS programs, including strategies, concepts, and workforce plans.
- Provide specialist ILS advice related to project execution analysis, definition, and planning.
- Deliver SME materiel sustainment guidance to senior management and participate in technical reviews.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders—including Project Managers, Engineers, client groups, and functional departments—to ensure seamless ILS activity management.
- Manage Logistic Support and Inventory Management requirements to maintain operational capability.
- Support codification and cataloguing processes to ensure accurate asset tracking.
- Perform additional project support tasks as directed by the Project Director or delegate.
- Strong working knowledge of Defence Logistics systems, tools and processes;
- General familiarity with land vehicle systems (desirable);
- Demonstrated experience in the current Capability Life Cycle (advantageous); and
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
This role is based at Victoria Barracks in Melbourne and requires a current AGSVA Security Clearance.
