Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a positive safety culture across our operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities. You will also facilitate incident investigation processes and maintain accurate safety incident information.
You will work closely with site operations teams and the WHS manager to execute company policies and ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will participate in process improvement activities and drive actions to completion.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our WHS Management System in Australia and contribute to the development of procedures, training materials, and inspection programs that align with Amazon's Global WHS Standards (GEMS).
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate incident investigation processes and maintain accurate safety incident information.
- Perform safety observations, audits, and targeted training to upskill teams on safety responsibilities.
- Collaborate with site operations teams and the WHS manager to execute company policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participate in process improvement activities and drive actions to completion.
The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues in the workplace, as well as experience in workplace health & safety related fields. A Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety is also required.
