Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Drainage Specialist to join our team in the Environment & Resilience Unit. As a key member of our Stormwater Operations & Planning team, you will be responsible for identifying and effectively managing localised flood risks throughout the local government area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex environmental projects and contribute to achieving quality outcomes for the residents and environment of the Northern Beaches.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise and respond to customer requests related to stormwater issues.
  • Apply excellent communication skills to gather relevant information and provide appropriate stormwater management solutions.
  • Efficiently manage stormwater projects from inception to completion, overseeing timelines, budgets and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review stormwater designs, plans, and models ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
