Heart Failure Clinical Specialist Opportunity

MonashHealth, the largest cardiology service provider in Victoria, is seeking a highly skilled medical professional to join its team as a Heart Failure Clinical Specialist.

This role involves providing timely specialist medical support to all heart failure program referrals, including participation on ward rounds and heart failure clinics.

The successful applicant will possess a medical qualification recognised for registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, FRACP or equivalent medical degree, and at least 3 years Advanced Training in Cardiology at a tertiary centre.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in ward rounds and heart failure clinics to provide expert clinical care
  • Providing specialist medical support to heart failure program referrals through timely assessments and recommendations
  • Maintaining and developing clinical databases and audits to inform clinical practice
  • Developing and participating in heart failure specific research projects to advance knowledge and improve patient outcomes
