About the Role:

This Servery Staff position plays a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our residents by providing nourishing meals that contribute to their health and happiness. As a member of our kitchen and servery team, you will work collaboratively with others to deliver exceptional food service experience.

About You:

  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • A genuine passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence
  • Alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos and values
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (or willingness to learn)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in meal preparation, presentation, and serving to residents
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food service spaces
  • Assist in meal setup, including setting tables and ensuring all utensils and crockery are clean
  • Deliver food and beverages to residents in the dining room and, when necessary, to their rooms
  • Ensure dietary requirements and preferences are met for each resident
  • Collaborate with the broader team to provide holistic support to residents
  • Collect, clean, and store dishes and utensils after meals
  • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the care facility
  • Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards always
