About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Career Practitioner to join our team at Hedland Senior High School. As a specialist teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting the career development of our students, encouraging their aspirations, and connecting them to life opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement career development programs and activities that align with the school's vision and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with the school leadership team and staff to embed career development and work exposure activities into curricular and co-curricular programs.
  • Provide resources and support to students, staff, and parents to help them navigate career pathways and make informed decisions.
  • Build relationships with local industry partners and community agencies to provide students with opportunities for work experience and career exploration.
  • Monitor and analyze data to inform career development strategies and improve student outcomes.
Requirements
  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification and a Graduate Certificate in Career Development (or be willing to complete one).
  • Have a strong understanding of career development principles and practices.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to analyze data and make informed decisions.
