Signal Electrician - Rail Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Signal Electrician to join our team and contribute to the maintenance of our rail network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting maintenance inspections, identifying and repairing signal mechanical faults, and attending failures to diagnose and correct signalling faults.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections and repairs as per our Technical Maintenance Plan.
  • Identify and repair signal mechanical faults in a timely manner.
  • Attend failures to diagnose and correct signalling faults.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of works.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Cert IV Electrical (Rail Signalling) qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous signalling experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of signalling systems and fault rectification techniques.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • A Class C Driver's licence and White card.
  • Rail maintenance background and technical understanding.
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills.
