Counsellor Position - Central Coast

Are you a skilled counsellor looking for a new opportunity? Do you have experience working with families and individuals? We are seeking a qualified counsellor to join our team in the Central Coast area.

This is a full-time position that involves providing counselling, support, and specialist group programs to individuals and families. You will work collaboratively with clients to understand their unique circumstances and empower them to live well through practical and reliable support.

About the Role:

  • This role is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and psycho-educational.
  • You will support clients from all walks of life to overcome difficulties, build resilience, and enhance their quality of life and relationships.
  • Some after-hours work may be required to meet client needs.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Clinical membership of relevant professional body.
  • Experience working with men and facilitating Men's Behaviour Change Programs.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in counselling and group work.
  • Experience in providing counselling in an agency setting.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in individual and group settings with people experiencing and/or using Domestic Family Violence.
  • Experience in trauma-informed practice.
  • Demonstrated understanding of inclusive, respectful practice when working with diverse groups.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
