Job Title: Public Relations CoordinatorAbout Us:

We deliver a range of clinical services, including tertiary level care and health promotion programs, through an integrated network of services. These include:

  • The Queensland Children's Hospital
  • The Child and Youth Community Health Service
  • The Child and Youth Mental Health Service
  • Statewide services and programs, including specialist outreach and telehealth services
We work closely with other hospital and health services, non-government organisations, and charity partners to deliver healthcare services and support across the state.Role Overview:

The role involves supporting the Media and Communications team to prepare and deliver communication activities that meet our strategic goals. This includes being the guardian of internal communications channels, developing relationships across the organisation, and identifying opportunities for effective communication.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be highly organised, self-motivated, and focused on quality outcomes. You'll also need to be creative and flexible in your approach, with a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that engage stakeholders and promote our organisational goals.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports to stakeholders, providing insights into our performance and progress.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media representatives, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Contribute to the development of organisational policies and procedures related to communication and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:

You'll need to have a strong understanding of communication principles and practices, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable using technology to manage and analyse data.
