About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic PTA Project Delivery Division at the Public Transport Authority (PTA). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) project, one of the PTA's major transport infrastructure projects.

The Senior Project Engineer - LV Electrical will provide technical support to the HCS project team, ensuring that engineering solutions for Low Voltage (LV) Electrical facilities are designed, constructed, and maintained with a focus on safety, cost-efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning, design, and modification of existing LV Electrical systems to meet regulatory requirements and the PTA's processes and procedures.
  • Prepare concept designs, review project designs, and offer technical recommendations.
  • Work closely with other project engineers to ensure effective coordination during design review activities.
  • Assist the Discipline Lead or Principal Project Engineer in managing the technical and engineering aspects of the LV Electrical systems.
  • Support project and contract management activities, including contract documentation, tender evaluations, and the administration of contracts.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, offering feedback and recommendations.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with OHS and Rail Safety laws.
About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • An Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline expertise, with recognition by or membership in a relevant professional body.
  • Substantial experience in planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects, with extensive knowledge of engineering practices and the ability to manage multiple tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Proven experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of engineering systems in a facilities setting, along with strong skills in contract and project management.
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, supported by strong conceptual and analytical abilities to deliver innovative solutions.
