Kirinari Community Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team in Launceston, TAS.

Job Summary:

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide high-quality support to people with disabilities in our supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes). As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers, providing domestic and personal care assistance, and helping them access and engage with their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to customers with disabilities, including domestic and personal care assistance
  • Assist customers to access and engage with their community
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Administer medications and manage customer support needs, including epilepsy
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a supported independent living setting
  • Ability to work shift work, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts
  • Resilience, confidence, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
  • Current Driver's Licence
