Finance Manager Job Description

Medbill is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance function as the business continues to scale.

This is a hands-on, finance role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial reporting while driving efficiency across accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and payroll operations.

The successful candidate will oversee a small team and play a key role in supporting our growth strategy, working closely with our operations and executive leadership to ensure strong financial governance and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of the company's financial accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Oversee AR and AP functions, ensuring accurate reconciliations, timely invoicing, collections, and supplier management.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury to support business growth.
  • Coordinate monthly management reporting packs, providing financial insights and decision support to leadership.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring variances and recommending corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with all taxation and statutory obligations.
  • Oversee weekly payroll processing and compliance obligations.
  • Partner with leadership to enhance financial controls, systems, and processes, ensuring scalability as the business grows.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within a services, healthcare, or tech-enabled business. They will possess strong knowledge of financial reporting, AR/AP management, and payroll, with advanced use of Excel/financial modelling tools.
