Compassionate Caregiver Wanted

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing physical, psychological, cultural, and spiritual support to residents, promoting their dignity and independence. This will involve assisting with daily living activities, such as self-care, mobility, and hygiene, as well as preparing and serving meals in accordance with set standards.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work harmoniously within a team and communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as eating, toileting, and transferring.
  • Prepare and serve meals in accordance with set standards.
  • Maintain resident records and provide input into resident assessments and documentation.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and enrolled nurses to determine individual care/service needs of residents.
  • Administer medications to residents as required.
  • Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or working towards attaining this qualification.
  • Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • Previous experience in a community services or aged care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
