Job Description

We are seeking an expert in natural peril pricing models to join our team. The role involves developing and implementing models and insights, assisting with running peril models for reinsurance renewals, and helping with modelling governance controls and standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of statistical learning methodologies and experience with insurance data reporting and analytics. Familiarity with R, SAS, and Python is necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing natural peril pricing models and understanding model results in relation to claims experience
  • Assisting with modelling for reinsurance renewals
  • Assisting with team governance processes, such as modelling standards, model monitoring, and risk controls
  • Keeping abreast of product coverage changes and working with data leads to understand impacts and resolve data and mapping issues
  • Assisting in preparing responses to upcoming and recent natural disasters affecting our portfolio

The role requires a deep understanding of insurance data and analytics, as well as excellent communication skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of statistical learning methodologies
  • Experience with insurance data reporting and analytics
  • Familiarity with R, SAS, and Python
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
