We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing risk and providing expert guidance on risk-related matters.

The Enterprise Risk Management organization is responsible for identifying and mitigating risk across all processes and geographies. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for establishing the second line of defense for the Australia market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop risk tolerance limits and establish risk appetite metrics and escalation thresholds for all major risk stripes in accordance with regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
  • Identify emerging risks in accordance with the risk appetite program.
  • Establish policies, practices, and other control mechanisms to manage key enterprise risks.
  • Monitor and report on aggregate risk profile, initiating appropriate actions to ensure adherence to risk appetite.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be required to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across teams and levels of seniority.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in risk management or a similar role.
  • Strong business and risk acumen with a control perspective.
  • Strong analytical ability to connect disparate risks with the ability to assess them.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory nuances and banking industry in Australia.
