Job Description:

This is a permanent full-time position commencing with the opportunity to excel in a number of high-quality programs.

Comet Bay College is a modern state-of-the-art educational facility catering for students in Year 7 to Year 12. The college draws students from its partner primary schools located in various areas, including Golden Bay and Singleton.

The successful applicant will carry out internal cleaning duties, including maintaining carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other general cleaning tasks. External cleaning duties include veranda and covered area cleaning, rubbish removal, drinking trough cleaning, window cleaning, cobweb removal, and other general cleaning tasks.

The role also involves opening and locking the school, setting security alarm systems, liaising with corporate services managers on cleaning matters, conducting monthly inspections, and managing hazardous substances.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa holder with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
