About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our Distribution team in Summer Hill. As a key member of our support office, you will be responsible for ensuring DC activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with putting away stock when needed, maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity
  • Contribute to general housekeeping duties as required, upholding a clean and organized work environment
  • Support daily picking of stock, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as instructed by management across all DC areas
Specific AccountabilitiesClosedown Stores
  • Process closedown store stock, accurately recording and storing items
  • Mark-off returned stock and communicate variances to Supervisors
  • Assess stock for write-off or re-ticketing, making informed decisions to minimize losses
  • Re-ticket and clean stock to be returned to the warehouse, ensuring quality control
  • Allocate inactive stock when required, streamlining inventory management
  • Transfer allocated stock, maintaining accurate records and communication
Damaged Goods
  • Process faulty/damaged goods for all divisions, following established procedures
  • Assess stock to decide on write-off or return to supplier, minimizing waste and maximizing recoveries
  • Process relevant stock back to supplier for credit or replacement, facilitating prompt resolution
  • Ensure stock and paperwork are given to Shipping Department for return to supplier, maintaining a smooth process
  • Debag and de-ticket stock to be sent for refining, adhering to quality standards
  • Process returned stock from supplier, accurately updating inventory records
Watch Repair
  • Process watch repairs to allocated suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Receive and dispatch repaired watches back to stores, maintaining a seamless service
  • Resolve all repair queries from stores, providing excellent customer service
  • Liaise with stores and suppliers regarding watch repair queries, fostering strong relationships
Watch Department
  • Receive and record stock deliveries for all divisions, accurately updating inventory records
  • Match stock to costings, ensuring accurate pricing and profitability
  • Liaise with Buyers regarding follow-up costings, facilitating efficient purchasing processes
  • Put away and refill stock, maintaining a well-organized storage environment
  • Ensure costings are given to Accounts Department for processing, streamlining financial operations
  • Provide overseas costings for releasing, facilitating international trade
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (desired)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating knowledge and skills in distribution and logistics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement actions to achieve effective outcomes
  • Problem-solving and adaptability, with capacity to handle varying workload demands
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
