About the Role:

GHD is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our ACT & Southern NSW Environmental group, specializing in contaminated land. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of environmental approvals across the region on multi-disciplinary and diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, and participate in preliminary, targeted, and detailed site investigations, remedial action plans, and validation reports.
  • Plan and manage field works, including supervision, and engagement with regulators, contractors, and clients.
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects, and develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Participate in long-term projects involving placements within a client's operations to support policy, strategy, and/or operational delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within GHD regionally and nationally.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to excellence in environmental consulting.
  • Relentless curiosity and a desire to help create a more sustainable future.
  • Strong experience in environmental planning and approvals, impact assessment, and management with a focus on Australian jurisdictions.
  • Project management and delivery skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
