Nurse Unit Manager (General Medical Unit)

The role of the Nurse Unit Manager is to provide effective business management, planning, implementation, coordination, evaluation and review of general medical nursing services.

This involves:

  • Providing leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team working towards optimal patient flow">
  • Facilitating improvement in quality of service delivery and minimising risk">
  • Acting as a role model, demonstrating a positive attitude to change management">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • ">
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification">
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia">
  • Evidence of vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B">
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required">
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed">
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees">
