About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful Home Care Worker to join our team at Uniting. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of care for our elderly clients, empowering them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Provide transportation for clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
  • Support clients with personal care, including hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, and medication administration.
  • Enhance clients' quality of life by transporting them to appointments and accompanying them to shopping or social activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, but a strong desire to begin a career in aged care is also valued.
  • Empathy and resourcefulness are essential, as you will be working with clients who require support and care.
  • Flexibility is crucial, as you will need to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
  • A valid Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle are required.
  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
