Job Summary:
The Director Digital Healthcare and Innovation will provide strategic leadership and expert clinical advice to the QAS Medical Director and senior executives on healthcare improvement, innovation, and emerging healthcare delivery models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and develop emerging and novel models of care in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, utilizing digital healthcare technologies.
- Improve and reform the QAS pre-hospital model of care to ensure high-quality services are delivered to the community.
- Lead projects through development, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability in the health or emergency services sector.
- Provide authoritative advice to senior executives on quality decision making within the QAS digital healthcare strategy.
- Liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders, including executive management, clients, healthcare providers, and the community.
Requirements:
- Expert managerial knowledge, skills, and high-level strategic leadership capabilities.
- Specialist level of clinical expertise and detailed understanding of ambulance and health service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to influence a complex health service and support a large and diverse workforce.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills.
- Expert level skills and knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
Working Conditions:
The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and possess a C class driver's licence. Position may require participation in shift work, on-call duties, and undertake overtime.
Selection Criteria:
Applicants will be assessed against the following key attributes: expert managerial knowledge, skills, and high-level strategic leadership capabilities; specialist level of clinical expertise; and demonstrated ability to influence a complex health service.
