About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cloud Solution Engineering Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Cloud Solution Engineers to design, deploy and operate applications on the AWS cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing a team of Cloud Solution Engineers, while continuing to build capability.
  • Designing and maintaining tools for deployment, ensuring high availability, automation, performance and efficiency.
  • Strategic planning and execution of complex cloud solutions and transformations, aligning with business objectives.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in non-production and production environments.
  • Serving as a bridge between technical teams and senior business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Deep experience in cloud engineering, with a proven track record of developing and leading engineers.
  • A solid background working with cloud technologies at the implementation level, demonstrated over at least 5 years.
  • AWS / Azure Cloud certifications, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and design patterns.
  • Strong experience and ability to design solutions to complex business problems, leveraging cloud-native services and tools.
  • Strong development skills in one or more of:
    • Typescript
    • Python
    • Apache Airflow
    • Terraform
    • AWS componentry such as Lambda, Kafka/MSK
  • Strong understanding of DevOps concepts and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership to the team.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing and enforcing good practices and controls.
