Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate release scope, purpose, schedules, status, and issue escalation to ensure quality and integrity of releases.
- Plan and facilitate release activities across development, testing, ensuring timely deployments across environments.
- Manage interdependencies for milestone adherence, maintain release consistency across sandbox environments, testing, and external test environments.
- Define and manage technical change control processes for release readiness criteria.
- Drive continuous improvement in the release process.
- Coordinate release management and packaging across the CHESS project.
- Communicate with vendors and internal delivery teams for release packaging.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must have experience working in large, critical infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, testing, deploying, and controlling software releases.
- Experience managing others while coordinating Release Management activities across a portfolio within the Engineering team.
- Experience and knowledge of release management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Expertise in Release Management across various environments.
- Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD principals.
- Experience with software version control, branching strategy, and dependency management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Architecture, Information Security, Finance, Risk, Compliance, QE&T.
- Build comprehensive KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to measure performance and success rates of Releases.
- Manage knowledgebase of standards, training material, etc.
- Identify opportunities for cloud efficiency enhancements across the organization.
- Experience in highly regulated financial environments.
- Worked in a cross-functional, agile delivery team.
- Comfortable presenting at various forums and to senior stakeholders.
