Job Role: Rail Equipment Fitter

The position is for experienced fitters who can work in a production environment. We are looking for someone with the ability to read and interpret workshop drawings, schematics and other technical documents.

Fitting and assembling components of rail equipment, machinery and tools is a key aspect of this role. Previous experience in hydraulics and pneumatics fitting work, installation, testing and commissioning of large machinery is desirable.

We require applicants to have trade qualified status as a Mechanical Fitter, Certificate 3 or above in Australia, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant authorities.

A valid Australian National Police Check within the last three months and a passing result on a Rail Cat 3 Medical and D&A test will be required upon employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out mechanical fitting tasks supporting manufacturing and maintenance of rail equipment components
  • Read and interpret workshop drawings and schematics
  • Installation, testing and commissioning of large machinery
  • Assemble and fit components according to specifications
