Custody Support Specialist

As a Custody Officer with Ventia, you will play a vital role in our partnership with the Department of Justice, ensuring the safe transportation and supervision of detainees during critical activities. You will engage in court proceedings while upholding all safety requirements, handle conflicts with empathy, and foster positive interactions that can significantly impact detainees' lives.

- Maintain a professional, fair, and open-minded approach to all detainees, promoting respect and dignity.
- Provide a secure environment for detainees, staff, and the public through vigilant monitoring.
- Conduct walking and mobile patrols of designated areas to ensure safety and compliance.
- Supervise detainees and escort them to appointments or court appearances, ensuring accurate documentation of all activities.
- Availability for full-time training for 6 weeks in Perth (Fully Funded)
- Commitment to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications
- Australian/NZ Citizen or permanent resident
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test
