Job Title: Payroll Officer
Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Payroll Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing the company payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, awards, and agreements.
About This Role:
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
- Accurately preparing the payroll run each fortnight, including reviewing electronic employee timesheets and processing sick leave, annual leave, and long service leave bookings.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and assisting with payroll queries as required.
- Acting on behalf of the payroll coordinator when they are absent.
- Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance the efficiency of the payroll department and use of the HRP system.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A relevant qualification or demonstrated experience in payroll processing within a medium to large size organization.
- Experience with the Technology One payroll system would be beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and understand employment awards, agreements, and relevant legislation.
- A high standard of customer service skills, with the ability to provide accurate, timely, and appropriate assistance.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines and competing demands.
