Job Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer person-centred assistance with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and carers.
  • Support clients with safe mobility, transfers, and positioning in accordance with care plans and mobility aids.
  • Advise on health-related matters and promote regular hydration in line with client care plans.
  • Prepare and offer refreshments or light snacks as appropriate.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance when needed.

Requirements:

  • Completed Certificate III in Individual Support qualification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and current Driver's Licence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience.
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to different household routines.
  • Physical capacity to provide mobility assistance and personal care.

Desirable Skills:

  • Language proficiency in Italian or Persian to support culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
  • Experience working with clients with dementia, cognitive decline, or high-support needs.
