Job Description

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

The role of a Community Support Worker is multifaceted, requiring a strong understanding of personal care practices, medication management, and bowel care.

You will be responsible for providing personalized support to individuals with disabilities within their homes and communities, promoting their independence and well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assisting with medication management and administration.
  • Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for clients.
  • Performing domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Organising and accompanying clients to appointments and social activities.
  • Working collaboratively with clients to develop and achieve their goals.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of personal care practices and medication management.
  • Bowel care experience and/or manual handling training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
