Job Description

Severe weather events in Australia are becoming more frequent and severe, causing significant economic impact. To address this, a national transformation is underway to become more customer-focused and resilient.

A Community Services Group (CSG) will be established to lead customer engagement and deliver tailored information to support better decision-making. The Decision Support Services program will operate with a national capability, accountable for leading engagement with the Australian community and Emergency Management sector.

The two dedicated teams: Hazard Preparedness and Response (HPR) and Community Engagement (CE), will work together to ensure hazard and impact information is expressed effectively in products and services.

This role requires continuous improvement activities to deliver and share Bureau products and information with Emergency Management partners.

Key responsibilities include providing expert advice, interpreting climate, weather, and water information to help customers mitigate risks.

Collaboration across teams is essential to ensure timely and relevant information is provided to support informed decision-making.
