Job Opportunity
The School of Mathematics at Monash University has an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join their team. This research project is supported by the Australian Research Council and aims to develop and analyze novel nonlinear, multiphysics, and multiscale PDE systems modeling the electromechanics of heart and torso.
A successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced numerical discretisations for multiphysics PDEs, working closely with Professor Santiago Badia and Professor Ricardo Ruiz Baier, and disseminating results through research articles and technical presentations.
Preferring candidates with experience in the analysis and implementation of finite elements and similar methods, knowledge of computational models for biomedical applications is desirable but not required.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. A PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field is essential, along with a strong theoretical background in the numerical approximation of PDEs using finite element methods and expertise in efficient algorithm implementation.
