We are seeking an accomplished Project Accountant to join our finance team, reporting directly to the Project Accounting Manager. This role will take ownership of project accounting across multiple developments and play a pivotal part in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. They will be responsible for managing monthly general ledger reconciliations, journals, cost transfers, and revenue adjustments. Additionally, they will assist with annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and accurate project reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project accounting across multiple developments
  • Ensure the integrity of financial reporting
  • Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Prepare accurate project reports
  • Partner with external consultants to ensure compliance with tax, audit, and reporting obligations
  • Monitor debtor and creditor balances
  • Support project settlements with financial analysis and tracking

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualified with CPA or CA (or working towards)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, ideally within property development or financial services
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised and methodical approach to work
