About the Role

As a key member of the Bank of Queensland team, you will have the opportunity to lead and motivate a team to drive sales growth and increase market share in the local area. Your role will involve identifying business opportunities through business development, both internal and external.

Key responsibilities will include:

Sales

  • Attract, retain, grow and increase the value of the branch customer base through branch sales, lending, new funds, asset and liabilities growth
  • Manage Lender Performance through the pipeline completing all milestone activities
  • Identify new business opportunities through planned marketing initiatives
  • Develop and implement a sales program to target customers and generate business development activities.
  • Identify and promote sponsorship opportunities for the Bank in your area
  • Provide cross referrals to Business Banking, Debtor Finance and Equipment Finance
  • Lead and support branch members to achieve individual and team KPI's

Leadership

  • Supervise and coordinate the team, including running of regular sales meetings and staff development
  • Undertake performance reviews, development & succession planning, coaching and developing staff
  • Coach branch team on effective business development techniques to increase sales and customer volume
  • Customer Service, building productive working relationships with all customers, business partners.
  • Create and develop an external referral base using a regular calling program with a view to build relationships and increase lending volume

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance and managing exemplary risk culture and focus
  • Ensure branch operations are managed in accordance with bank policies and procedures on risk, compliance, and security
  • Ensure adherence to Bank of Queensland credit policies and procedures
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks posed to colleagues, customers, and the bank within existing risk frameworks.

As a results-driven and commercially astute individual, you will thrive in a sales environment, increasing BOQ's market share. You will have a proven track record of sales and business development experience, complemented by solid networks within the banking arena. Your ability to build strong relationships and provide best-in-market customer solutions will be highly valued.
