Therapeutic Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Specialist to join our team in Shepparton. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people who have experienced trauma and neglect.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating reflective practice, building team members' knowledge of therapeutic parenting strategies, and developing responses that foster a therapeutic care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting assessments and developing therapeutic treatment plans in conjunction with clients and care teams.
  • Working closely with clients and care teams to achieve agreed goals within specified timeframes.
  • Supporting staff to implement the Teaching Family Model and providing training and coaching.

To succeed in this role, you will require sound decision-making skills, excellent clinical judgement, and a high degree of self-discipline. You will also need a demonstrated ability to provide complex direct services in clinical assessment and treatment, as well as compliance with service delivery requirements.

Requirements:
  • Appropriate Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a Health or Welfare related field.
  • Significant experience conducting clinical work with children (minimum 5 years).
