About The Role

We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide therapy to NDIS participants. Responsibilities include:

  • Working in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
  • Using assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
  • Building meaningful relationships with participants and their support networks
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies within a positive behaviour support framework
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
  • Participating in weekly team meetings at the Hub to share impact stories and foster team spirit
  • Receiving support from your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor

Who We Are Looking For

Our team values collaboration and shared principles. Candidates should have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters, or Graduate Diploma)
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies:
    • Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration
    • Speech Pathologist with SPA registration
    • Social Worker with AASW membership
    • Mental Health Nurse with AHPRA registration
    • Degree in Psychology, Psychological/Social Science, or related field
  • Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Positive, flexible approach and strong communication skills
  • Team player committed to growth
  • Valid Australian driver's license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
