About Your RoleYou will be part of a not-for-profit organisation with a culture program that supports the growth and development of our team members. Our care workers provide essential services to our residents in support of our Personal Care Workers.
You will build strong relationships with our residents, families, and team, contributing to the optimisation of resident choice and enabling them to live their best lives.
Your Responsibilities- Providing basic mobility assistance such as walking with a resident or propelling their wheelchair
- Assisting with meal delivery and removal of dishes/meal trays
- Supervising residents in a memory support unit
- Stocking individual continence bags for residents
- Applying moisturizing skin creams
- Assisting residents with glasses, hearing aids, and other equipment
- Cleaning resident rooms and laundry duties
- Providing emotional support to residents and assisting their families and visitors
- Supporting residents to attend activities and engage in activities of interest to them
- Hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Have unlimited working rights in Australia
- Have experience in hospitality or customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and empathy
- Understanding of resident rights and Aged Care Accreditation Standards
