
Procurement Specialist

The primary goal of this role is to oversee all operational purchasing tasks. Additionally, the role entails responsibilities for inventory control, warehouse management and contributing to a safe and efficient workplace environment.
- Coordinate and execute all operational activities, ensuring that all stakeholder and administrative requirements are met.
- Undertake inventory control, including:
- Assist with verifying incoming stock against purchase order specifications, allocated and labelled.
- Accurately record all stock movements.
- Issue stock and conduct periodic stocktakes.
- Receive and dispatch goods and track inwards and outwards freight.
- Notify managers when goods are received.
- Communicate any changes within agreed freight schedule to Store Manager and requesting managers.
- Timely reporting of issues to the Stores & Purchasing Manager.
- Ensure managers provide necessary details for purchase orders.
- Proactively fulfill specified reporting requirements and maintain and update asset data.
- Provide administrative support to the Stores & Purchasing Manager and undertake other duties assigned.
- Proficiency in end-to-end procurement and stores management with a focus on process streamlining and negotiation.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management capability.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail within a demanding environment.
- Responsive and agile approach to urgent procurement and inventory requirements.
- Ability to balance stakeholder priorities and complete work within commercially imposed timeframes.
- Proficiency in utilizing ERP computer systems for efficient procurement and inventory management.
