Lead Data Strategist

We are seeking a Lead Data Strategist to join our Professional Services team. This role is critical in addressing Machine Learning and Generative AI challenges using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on impactful data science and machine learning use cases, including solution architecture, MLOPs frameworks, MVPs, and production-grade applications.
  • Guide strategic customers through transformational data science and Generative AI projects, from end-to-end design, build, and deployment of industry-leading AI applications.
  • Consult on ML architecture and design, bootstrap or implement strategic customer projects that lead to successful understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer-facing post-sales technical architecture or consulting roles.
  • ML Engineer: Build and maintain production-grade cloud infrastructure supporting ML application deployment.
  • Data Scientist: Experience with latest techniques in machine learning and Generative AI processing, including vector databases, fine-tuning LLMs, and deploying LLMs with tools like HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI.
  • Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala.
  • Technical project delivery experience, managing scope and timelines.
  • Documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Build skills in technical areas supporting Databricks-based solution deployment and integration.
  • Travel to customers 20-30% of the time.
  • Nice to have: Databricks Certification.
