Compassionate Support Worker

This rewarding role offers you the opportunity to make a positive contribution while developing your skills. You will work independently, providing culturally appropriate and compassionate support to our participants.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A confident and friendly attitude
  • The ability to communicate sensitively and appropriately
  • An understanding of safe work practices

You should have experience in the health/Disability care sector, including providing mental health care. You will also need to be able to accurately report back to supervisors and participate in ongoing skill development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Disability or Home and Community Care
  • Mental Health training
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Police Check
  • Driver License
  • Reliable motor vehicle (including valid registration and comprehensive insurance)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally appropriate and compassionate support
  • Assist participants to remain living independently
  • Transport participants to activities and appointments
  • Complete allocated tasks and remain vigilant
  • Monitor participants' health and wellbeing

This is a casual position that requires flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
