Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and caring Aged Care Support Worker to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in promoting the independence, dignity, and overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

As an Aged Care Support Worker, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance to residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Supporting residents with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Monitoring residents' health and reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
  • Assisting with medication administration under the supervision of a nurse.

You will also be responsible for engaging residents in conversation and activities to reduce loneliness and enhance their quality of life. This may include participating in recreational activities and social events, and tailoring activities to meet individual interests and abilities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in aged care or a related field is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with residents.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with elderly residents.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

In return, we offer a competitive salary package, including a minimum estimated salary of $33.01 per hour, plus penalty rates for afternoon and night shifts.
