About the Role

Amentum is a leading provider of engineering, project management, and solutions integration services. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in Alice Springs, NT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction packages, including assessment of claims, variations, RFI's, progress inspections, and practical completion.
  • Develop Scopes of Work for minor and major projects, including annual planning, monthly reporting, contract administration, budget review, and management of defect liability periods for all properties.
  • Manage projects, project teams, and sub-contractors.
  • Prepare tender documents and manage the procurement process.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure site safety is followed by all contractors and staff.
  • Manage contracts and contractors.
  • Ensure safety is an integral part of everyday activities.
  • Assist in other areas of the business as required.
  • Have technical knowledge of basic building and construction principles.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to be flexible.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Project Management or related field.
  • At least 4-5 years of project management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to brief at all levels.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, to schedule, and client parameters.
  • Understanding of building project management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated customer focus.
  • Prior experience in community, council, and stakeholder management and consultation.
  • High level of client service skills to develop effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in following project management frameworks.
  • Experience in developing proposals, contracts, and managing sub-contractor agreements in building construction environments.
  • Sound computer skills, including a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands
  • Constant sitting while using the computer terminal.
  • Constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents.
  • Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication.
  • Constant mental alertness.
  • Frequent walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing.
  • Occasional standing.
Statement of Work Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to fluently read, write, and speak English.
  • Australian or US citizen.
EHS Requirement

All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health, and safety requirements. While Amentum is responsible for providing a safe workplace and ensuring compliance with requirements, each person is responsible for:

  • Completing work tasks in a safe manner.
  • Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager.
  • Continuous adherence to the environmental, health, and safety procedures outlined in the Handbook during the performance of their work.
  • Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to 'STOP WORK' if a job is unsafe or poses a danger to the environment.
