KBR Inc. is seeking a skilled Project Construction Manager to lead construction projects and Task Orders (TO) to recapitalize, complete major repairs, new construction, and augment the existing infrastructure in addition to the required Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of our government customer\u2019s sites.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical acumen, an eye for detail, and a proven ability to make decisions and adhere to strict deadlines.

This role will be located in Alice Springs, Australia at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the facilities\u2019 construction and maintenance at each site, including job site document control and distribution of drawings, specifications, and all other technical documents.
  • Direct project construction planning, safety, cost control, and scheduling activities.
  • Interpret drawings and implement specifications for job site queries.
  • Resolve job site technical issues encountered during execution of construction projects.
  • Formulate and enforce operational and construction standards that support company objectives, contractual requirements, and comply with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Hiring, training, and leading a competent workforce to be versatile and technically savvy.
  • Keeping a close watch on contractual obligations and staying informed of any regulatory changes that impact facility operations.
  • Orchestrating activities to align with the overarching contract requirements and to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Provide technical support to site operations, guaranteeing the continuity of critical infrastructure operations, with a commitment to reliability for around-the-clock mission support.
  • Communicating effectively with diverse teams, responding to questions, and solving a range of operational issues.

Requirements:

  • Possess an active TS/SCI with adjudicated CI polygraph or Host Nation TS/PV clearance.
  • A degree in Project Management, Civil, Construction, or Architecture from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with construction/facility projects of similar scope, size, and complexity.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Senior/Chief Project Manager responsible for supervising project managers, engineers, and sub-contractors.
  • Professional certification/registration.
  • Demonstrated experience working in 24x7x365 operational environments requiring close coordination with mission operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in timely proposal preparation and cost estimation.
  • Ability to read construction design and equipment drawings.
  • Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000).
  • Experience in operations management, construction/renovation projects.
  • Experience planning and implementing large-scale facility and logistics projects.
  • Experience integrating project schedules.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to manage items including, but not limited to project schedule, scope, cost, risk, and deliverables and related metrics.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge of U.S. government exercise or crisis management communities and experience planning, coordinating, and executing support to special events.
  • Experience working in remote locations is desired.
