Engineering Apprentice Opportunity

Huge variety of skills available for engineering apprentices to learn and develop in a secure long-term work environment.

Our host is a world leader in sailboat hardware and architectural rigging market, with manufacturing and distribution operations that have grown into a state-of-the-art design and manufacturing facility. We are looking for first and second year engineering apprentices to support our busy international operations.

As an apprentice, you will receive all training fees paid for, PPE provided throughout the apprenticeship, and a dedicated field consultant to support you throughout your training. You will also be eligible to receive a nationally recognised qualification - Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, and eligibility to receive the trade support loan.

Some of the key tasks and responsibilities may involve:

  • Examine and evaluate drawings and specifications for requirements.
  • Operate and adjust metalworking machines and create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding or drilling metal stock or components.
  • Fitting and assembling metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies (including brazing or welding parts, repair or replace faulty parts).
  • Setting up and/or operating hand and machine tools, welding equipment or Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines.
