Lead Educator - Junior School Curriculum Development

Ravenswood is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore.

We are seeking to appoint a Lead Educator - Junior School Curriculum Development to support the Head of Junior School in the development, administration and implementation of academic programs in the Junior School.

This is a permanent, full time position with a teaching load associated.

To secure this role the successful applicant will have:

  • A comprehensive understanding of K-6 curriculum development, programming, assessment and evaluation of outcomes;
  • A strong understanding of current innovative practices and emerging trends in primary education to ensure the curriculum remains progressive and relevant;
  • The ability to develop positive relationships and foster collaboration among teachers and key stakeholders in a K-12 environment;
  • A commitment to Positive Education and wellbeing and a genuine interest in developing expertise in this area;
  • A genuine desire to work in a committed and professional team within a Christian ethos;
  • Qualification in Education and registration with NESA;
  • Proven leadership skills in curriculum development, innovation and management;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing curriculum programs using NSW curriculum and IB Primary Years Programme frameworks;
  • Liaising with teachers and stakeholders to implement new programs;
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs and making recommendations for improvement;
  • Leading teams of educators to develop and implement innovative educational initiatives.
