Job Description

Australia Post is leading the way in logistics and transportation. We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Manager to take charge of transport operations, driving our network effectiveness through strategic reviews and implementation of agreed initiatives.

This pivotal role requires you to oversee day-to-day transport operations across the QLD region, develop and manage initiatives to enhance the Deliveries Division within Transport and Vans, collaborate with network to optimise operations, manage costs, ensure high service and financial performance standards, continuously enhance operational processes to improve customer experience, foster a safety culture through the implementation of safety plans and strategies, and lead, mentor and develop a high-performance team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in operational leadership within logistics/Linehaul
  • Proven track record in championing and facilitating change
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of safety leadership principles
  • Ability to develop and execute work plans effectively
  • Extensive understanding of key market drivers, industry bodies and latest external best practice development in safety
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functioning team
  • Tertiary qualifications in logistics, business management or related field
  • Experience in industrial relations
